The extension to Terminal Three replaces an outdated 1960’s office block and provides new check-in facilities, public landside facilities, and 5 200 sqm of lettable office space for airlines. Seating and retail at first floor, and the offices on two additional floors are organised around a full-height tapering atrium which provides natural light to the check-in concourse at ground level. An entrance stair and lift tower at the junction of the old and new connect the drop-off forecourt area to the offices above.

Richard worked as part of the Competition Design Team as an Architectural Assistant, assisting for a short time on the CAD drawings at Pre-Design and Design Stages for this project.
